František Máliš

My research interest is in diversity and species composition of temperate forests and their dynamics driven by human impact and global environmental changes. I study the ongoing processes during climate change and biodiversity crisis to develop novel approaches in forest management which can mitigate negative effects of environmental drivers on forest ecosystems.

As Associate professor I teach the subjects Ecology, Phytosociology and forest typology, Disturbance ecology, Adaptation of forest ecosystems to global environmental changes, Vegetation ecology.

If you are interested in doing PhD, feel free to contact me or check the current list of PhD thesis of our department. When you would like to join our team for certain period, please see also posibilities to apply for scholarhip for international students, researchers and scientists supported by the National Scholarhip Programme of the Slovak Republic. click here
